An easy way to double or triple your contribution is through employee giving programs.

These programs provide Scouting families with an easy way to enhance Friends of Scouting contributions, by matching contributions dollar for dollar and sometimes even tripling your gift. In addition, many companies also recognize employee volunteer time to local charities, by providing local grants to your charity of choice.

1. Make a donation

If you haven’t already, it’s easy to give online HERE!

2. Fill out the form

If your company offers gift matching, your Human Resource department should provide you with a matching gift form to send to the Scouting America Long Island office, along with or after your donation. Some companies use an online portal instead- your HR department will have the best info!

3. Send the form in

Once you’ve filled out your part of the paperwork, send it in to the council office (or send us an email letting us know you’ve started something in an online portal). We’ll take care of the rest by verifying receipt of your gift, and returning the form to your employer for matching funds.

If you volunteer with us, it’s an easy way to provide us with additional financial support!

How do I request a matching gift or volunteer grant?

Requesting a matching gift or volunteer grant is normally a five minute process which must be initiated by the donor / volunteer. You can do this by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer or through an electronic submission process.
